5 Reasons You Should Be Using a TRX!

5 Reasons You Should Be Using a TRX!

TRX suspension training has become one of the most sought-after exercise programs around.

Why? Well, with TRX training, it utilises both your body weight and gravity, is portable, versatile and works your body's entire core – sounds like a winner, right? And we didn’t even mention the price (spoiler alert – it’s affordable)

There are a lot of awesome reasons to use this piece of equipment and I could write for hours, but we have combined our top 5, so you can nestle down with a cuppa and take 5 mins out of your day to discover your newest favourite piece of fitness equipment!

Ok, let’s begin!

#1: It’s easy to take EVERYWHERE! Smaller than a handbag, once you have it as part of your travel equipment you will never need anything else! The TRX suspension system weighs less than two pounds and can be easily transported from place to place. This removes the ‘I have to travel a lot’ excuse!

It also allows you to work out virtually anywhere you want as it can be anchored on hotel doors, trees, wooden support beams — you name it – TRX has thought of it!

#2: Busy people need CONVENIENCE – With a TRX set up you can work out in as little as 10-15 minutes. You will cover all the major muscle groups in that time and your metabolism will be revved up for the rest of the day! Even the busiest of people can spare 15 mins a day making this one of the most accessible workouts on the market to date.

#3: Classes are easy to do for EVERYONE – The team at TRX even designed an app that allows all levels to access state-of-the-art workouts. Even as you get stronger, you simply add more body weight to the exercise to keep training. This next one is a golden nugget when it comes to benefits! Due to its suspended nature, TRX suspension training is very low impact and means that your joints are not put under much stress. In turn, this means that there is a low risk of injury, allowing you to train as hard as you wish with less risk of causing or agitating a pre-existing injury.

#4: Your WAISTLINE with thank you – Now we are all about ‘strong not skinny’ but with TRX Strength training activities you will maintain muscle mass and keep that metabolism racing. You will therefore BURN more calories at rest and keep fit and healthy. TRX actively engages your core through a variety of exercises that can be done at different angles and different intensity levels. In fact, every exercise done with the TRX system works your core muscles!

And lastly …

#5: It’s EASY! Taking only seconds to set up, this uncomplicated equipment allows you to focus on exercise and exercise only. Using the suspension of two straps simultaneously provides strength and cardio training and also forces you to develop your balance by becoming comfortable in less-than-optimal positions.

With this said, since no system is 100% perfect, we should give you a few housekeeping rules when setting up your TRX as we do not want you to injure yourself on your new favourite equipment!

Upon set up, find a stationary, solid attachment point for your strap. This will be holding your body weight – make sure it’s sturdy so you do not damage you or your house.

If you use the anchoring system in a door, ensure that the force is exerted in the closing direction or lock the door.

The floor on which you train should not be slippery, especially if you sweat a lot during the sessions. Buy a large-size floor mat or a yoga mat will do A.OK!

To conclude, the TRX is a commercial-grade quality piece of equipment that ensures that working out does not need to be difficult or expensive. To check out the full range of TRX equipment that we stock at Blue Fitness simply click here!
